Aurora dinner with huskies
Welcome at Frosty Trails!
About
Welcome to Frosty Trails for an evening of excited anticipation! We would like to show you the beautiful northern lights in one of the best locations possible. While we are waiting for the aurora to show itself, you will meet our friendly huskies, enjoy a hearty meal in a comfortable fire hut, as well as learn all about northern lights and how to spot them by yourself.
- Good chances for northern lights
- Meet our friendly huskies
- Three course dinner in a traditional fire hut

We will pick you up from your hotel and take you to our Husky Farm on the Arctic Circle. During the transfer, we will already look out for northern lights! On the way we actually have some good locations to spot the aurora.
At the Husky Farm, we will share a warm drink around a campfire and provide you with warm clothes in our dressing room, before we go to the kennels to meet with the huskies. Our dogs are all very friendly, and you will get the chance to meet them in their kennels.

We keep an eye on the sky and on our apps for any aurora display, before we go to our Timmerkåta, a traditional hut with comfortable benches and a fireplace in the middle. Here we will enjoy a 3-course dinner, made with local ingredients. During dinner, you will have a chance to learn more about life on a homestead on the arctic circle. If the northern lights show themselves, we will of course be outside in seconds.

After dinner, we move to our log cabin for a slide show of northern light images, made by your guide, who is also a nature photographer. He will also teach you all you need to know to be able to find northern lights by yourself- a useful skill during the rest of your stay in the Arctic!
The northern lights are a true wonder of nature – and they will not let themselves be forced by man. However, if we have any aurora activity and a reasonably clear sky, you will be able to see the northern lights from our place!
We have one more chance for seeing the aurora on our way back to your hotel.
If the aurora doesn’t show itself during this night, you will still have had a great evening with a good dinner and the joy of meeting the huskies. You will also be able to spot the aurora by yourself after this evening – so it is a good idea to plan this activity early in your trip!
