During this week you will stay at our log cabin right next to the dog kennel. After a long day’s work and a good meal you can enjoy a sauna.
We will teach you the basics of driving dog teams and training dogs. We’ll go out on dogsleds every day, and we will eat lunch around the fire.
We use small teams, so as to train as many lead dogs as possible. We drive up to 20 km a day, depending on snow conditions.
We will be out on an overnight trip, where we will stay at a cabin. The goal is to train the dogs to sleep on a stake-out line and let them get used to the overnight routines again!
Next to the dog training we’ll spend time preparing for the winter season: getting the sleds ready, preparing trails, and many other chores that need to be done.

Participants: Max 3, if you are a party of 2 you can book the week exclusively.
Level: No previous dogsledding required; Normal level of fitness; We expect you to be interested in training sled dogs and help us to prepare for the winter season.
Check-in / check-out: Earliest check-in is around lunchtime on the first day. We can pick you up from Murjek train station from the late morning train (NOT the early morning train). Check-out is after breakfast on the last day, latest 11.00 am. If you take the night train back, we recommend that you take the bus to Luleå, spend the day there and then take the night train directly from Luleå.
