This week Kristien had a holiday from school and she helped me training our sleddogs. As we wanted to train only one team a day instead of the usual two teams, we drove a big team.
So, how many sleddogs can one train in one team before the quadbike? Well, we learned that 15 dogs in 10 cm of new fallen snow went well – and 18 dogs on a newly ploughed forest road is rather much…still we managed to make a u-turn with the dogs! But braking a big team like that is hard…
